By Beacon Staff

Environmentalists and community groups are planning to hold rallies across the state on climate change.

The rallies will be held Saturday in 13 cities and towns. Organizers say they aim to encourage public officials to back solutions to climate change.

The organizers say the rallies are being organized and attended by a coalition of 80 groups that include advocates for the environment, health, wildlife and recreation, among others.

Rallies are planned for Bigfork, Billings, Bozeman, Columbia Falls, Great Falls, Hamilton, Helena, Kalispell, Lame Deer, Missoula, Pablo, Red Lodge and Whitefish.
