Lakeside to Host Community Health Fair

By Beacon Staff

On Saturday, Feb. 15, the Lakeside Quick Response Unit (QRU) and Ambulance will be hosting the first annual Lakeside Community Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s a great event to help check up on your health, or help keep your healthy resolutions going.

The Lakeside Community Health Fair will be held at the Lakeside QRU/Ambulance Community Room, at 201 Bills Road in Lakeside.
Aside from the free refreshments and fun, perhaps the best part about the event will be the free health tests. At the fair, you can take advantage of free blood pressure checks, ECG tests for heart health, and blood-glucose tests. The free tests are offered in cooperation with local health care providers, so you can better understand your current health and make more informed decisions about maintaining or improving your health.

You can also register for life-saving CPR classes, or learn more about the Vial of Life program, which helps you gather critical health information that can be used by first responders during an emergency.

The event will also be a great opportunity to meet with local health care providers, including the A.L.E.R.T. air ambulance and the Flathead County Health Department.

Flathead Valley Massage and Lakeside Chiropractic will also be there to help answer any questions about how massage or chiropractic services could benefit you.

Local health professionals from Lakeside Dentistry, Lakeside Family Health, the West Shore Medical Clinic, and Lakeside Remedies Pharmacy will also be there to answer any questions you may have.
