Keenan, who works at Wheaton's, was well-prepared for the long journey – he was already accustomed to commuting 45 miles round trip on his bicycle each day from his home in Kila to Wheaton's in Kalispell. He rode with a partner, Jeff Bott, for most of the trip. Now back in Montana, Keenan has stories about lunch with a native tribe in British Columbia celebrating their first salmon fishing day and swimming in wild northern lakes. He experienced only two flat tires on his redline cyclocross titanium bike, both of which he repaired with spare tubes he carried on the trip.
If you want to know more about his trip or are considering a similar journey, give him a call at Wheaton's at 257-5808.
