Baby Sitter Pleads Guilty to Criminal Endangerment
Kalispell woman acknowledged dropping and shaking a 7-month-old baby
A Kalispell woman has acknowledged dropping and shaking a 7-month-old baby who suffered a skull fracture.

KCFW-TV reports Kimberly Butler pleaded guilty Thursday to felony criminal endangerment for injuries to the child she was babysitting in June 2011. Prosecutors dropped charges of aggravated assault and assault on a minor in exchange for the plea.

Physicians have told police the extent of the girl's injuries won't be fully apparent until she is old enough to have her cognitive abilities assessed.

Butler faces sentencing on Oct. 10.

@NPDXReporter I think I'll start strategically calling it "pre-lunch" too, and then "forget" to eat my real lunch later. #dessertforlunch
