UPDATE: Bear Attacks Man in Bob Marshall Wilderness
Unidentified victim listed in stable condition after being attacked by black bear
A man mauled by a bear has been flown out of the Bob Marshall Wilderness to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks announced Friday morning.

FWP received a report of a man being injured, reportedly by a black bear. FWP Regional Supervisor Jim Satterfield says the unidentified man was injured about 7:30 a.m. Friday in an area known as Black Bear Creek. ALERT helicopter retrieved the injured man. He was taken to KRMC, where he was listed in stable condition. A hospital administrator told the Associated Press the man's injuries were not life-threatening.

Wildlife officials are investigating the incident in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service. An appropriate response will be made based on the results of the investigation, according to FWP. Satterfield says wildlife agents were flown into the area on a helicopter to track down the animal. He could not say if it has been found.

No, I don't want to read mini-biographies of contributors to your magazine in the front of the book.
