The Columbia Falls Farmer's Market kicks off Thursday, June 18, and in its second year this event has grown hugely – twice the vendors of last year, a new location and a great lineup of musicians.

“The new location at Discovery Square gives us great shade, fabulous trees and grass, and an overall wonderful layout for the market,” Cindy Shaw, this year's market organizer, said in a press release. “Our vendor response has been phenomenal this year, more than double the vendors we had last year, so we think it will be incredible.”

Starting this week, each Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. through Sept. 17, the Discovery Square will be filled with produce and craft vendors as well as about a dozen local food vendors. Local headliners will provide live music every week, starting with the Canyon Creek Ramblers tonight. There will also be ongoing entertainment and educational workshops throughout the market season.

For more information, email or call (406) 250-6100. Vendors can contact Shaw at 892-7955 to check availability of booth space.
