Boxing Tournament at Elks on Dec. 19
Sixty Fighters on Card
A boxing tournament featuring 60 fighters from three states and Canada will be held at the Kalispell Elks Lodge on Saturday, Dec. 19. The "junior session" is scheduled for 2-5 p.m., followed by the more experienced boxers at 7-10 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.
Tickets are sold at the door. They cost $12 per adult and $8 per child for one session. Children under 8 years old are free and there are also family and double-session rates available. Call Phillip Moore for more information at (406) 270-6812. Moore said four of the fighters are local.
The event, called the "Montana State Silver Gloves Championships and Flathead Boxing Smoker," is sponsored by Straight Blast Gym and Flathead Boxing.
