BUTTE – An Obama cabinet member and the top executives from GE, Microsoft and The Walt Disney Co. are the featured speakers at this year’s Montana Economic Development Summit in Butte.

Sen. Max Baucus’ office released a lineup of five high-profile speakers this September at the Montana Tech campus. The Montana Democrat says the meeting aims to bring Montanans and industry leaders together and introduce the state’s entrepreneurs to investors from around the country.

So far, speakers include U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu; General Electric Chairman Jeffrey Immelt; President and Chief Executive of The Walt Disney Co. Robert Iger; chief executive officer of the Microsoft Corp. Steven Ballmer and U.S. Small Business Administration head Karen G. Mills.

Baucus says more speakers may be added to the Sept. 13-14 meeting.
