County Hires New Emergency Services Director
New director begins in October
Flathead County has hired a new director for the Flathead Emergency Communications Center, which oversees the 911 center, the Office of Emergency Services, and the Flathead County Fire and EMS divisions.

Roger Laferriere, of Burbank, Calif., will take over his duties in October. He is currently the global crisis manager for the Walt Disney Company, and is retired from the U.S. Coast Guard.

Laferriere was selected through a process conducted by members of the executive board of the FECC, and in cooperation with the Flathead County Commission.
