Funeral services are scheduled next week for the Montana Highway Patrol trooper who was killed in a head-on crash while pursuing another vehicle.
The memorial service for 29-year-old Evan Schneider is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Christian Center Assembly of God Church in Kalispell, according to Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
A pickup truck collided with Schneider's patrol car Tuesday evening. The crash also killed the pickup driver, 42-year-old Roy A. Moore of Hungry Horse. Flathead County officials say a 30-year-old woman in the pickup was critically injured. Her name has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
Undersheriff Pete Wingert told KOFI radio that the video tape of the chase taken from the patrol car survived the impact. Wingert says Schneider was pursuing a white sedan at the time of the crash. He did not release any more information from the video.
