Dog Problems

8:52 a.m. A puppy on Smith Lake Road doesn’t have a dog house.

8:57 a.m. A man on Witty Lane said that pit bulls growled at his wife when she was out jogging.

9:03 a.m. Three dogs on Trails End Drive chased children and cars. They were corralled and put behind a fence.

9:28 a.m. A frightened dog-sitter noticed the lower legs and feet of someone sleeping in the guest bedroom of a supposedly empty house. The legs were attached to a family member who hadn’t alerted the family of his sleeping arrangements.

9:57a.m. A Columbia Falls woman claimed that the dog she recently purchased from the shelter has developed “kennel cough.”

1:43 p.m. A man on Shelter Valley Lane complained that someone flung an orange at his vehicle, damaging the grill.

4:48 p.m. Two of the three problem dogs on Trails End Drive busted through a hole in the fence and spent a short time terrorizing the neighborhood.

6:39 p.m. A jogger claimed to have discovered an occupied transient camp under a bridge on Rails to Trails. He claimed that the residents there make him uncomfortable.

8:29 p.m. A woman on Whispering Pines in Bigfork claimed she heard howling and could see a mysterious light through the trees. A deputy wandered down to the nearby golf course and shut a door to the bathroom.
