Eureka Girls Snag District Title
Opening round of the Western B divisional girls basketball tournament kicks off Wednesday at Flathead
Cassidy Morgan scored 16 points to lead Eureka to victory, 59-53, over Thompson Falls in the District 7-B girls championship.
Eureka (13-7) play St. Ignatius (8-13) at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Flathead High in the opening round of the Western B divisional girls basketball tournament.
Bigfork (8-13) plays Missoula Loyola (8-12) at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Deer Lodge (19-1) plays Plains (10-10) at 1 p.m. and Florence (14-6) takes on Thompson Falls (11-9) at 2:45 p.m.
The semifinals are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Thursday and the championship is slated for 9:15 p.m. on Friday night.
The top two teams advance to Butte for the March 7-9 state tournament.
