Fire Crews Suppress Two Small Fires in Glacier Park
Small fires the result of recent lightning
Fire crews are finishing work on two small lightning-caused wildfires reported in Glacier National Park, according to park officials on Wednesday.

Firefighters responded to the Fish Lake Wildland Fire on Tuesday and the fire was expected to be contained today. The fire is estimated to be approximately a quarter of an acre and located near Fish Lake, about two miles east of Sprague Creek Campground. Smoke was visible from Lake McDonald and Sperry Chalet. The Flathead National Forest assisted in management of the fire through aviation support.

On July 29, smoke was reported on Mount Brown, located about three miles east of the Lake McDonald Lodge. The fire was estimated at less than a tenth of an acre and was declared out on Tuesday.
