8:24 a.m. A clerk at a local gas station thought a man was joking when he told her he was going to break open a newspaper machine to get his coins back. Reportedly, he got into his Holiday Rambler and rammed the machine, breaking the handle off.

9:17 a.m. A pistol was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle on Houston Drive.

11:51 a.m. Someone called in looking for their aunt’s white poodle.

3:40 p.m. Someone reported that a dog was stuck in a hot car in a Columbia Falls parking lot.

5:00 p.m. A man on Lower Valley Road reported that some men on “crotch rockets” nearly ran into him.

5:06 p.m. According to one spectator, approximately seven young people on Montclair Drive were in possession of vodka.

5:59 p.m. A tree almost fell down on East Oregon Street.

6:08 p.m. Apparently, there are numerous St. Bernards and puppies in a hot, stuffy trailer on Shady Lane.

7:32 p.m. Reportedly, a clean-shaven, naked man was causing trouble on Conrad Drive.

9:37 p.m. A resident on Patrick Creek Road complained that her neighbors were shooting a “big” gun into their yard and nearly hit her dad.

10:26 p.m. Someone in Bigfork heard fireworks.

10:36 p.m. Someone called in to complain about Canadians and fireworks.
