First Baby of 2013 at North Valley Hospital

North Valley Hospital welcomed its first baby of 2013 with the birth of Colter Canfield on Jan. 1 at 6:40 a.m.
Colter's parents, Brooke Lemer and Casey Canfield of Eureka, met their 6-pound, 9-ounce son on New Year's Day, and were given a lovely gift basket from the hospital for their new, little arrival.
The paternal grandparents are Donald and Linda Canfield of the Flathead, and Colter's maternal grandfather is Ron Lemer of Eureka. Casey works at the Eureka Pellet Mill.
Welcome to the world, little guy. To paraphrase Kurt Vonnegut, the world is warm in the summer, cold in the winter and there's really only one rule, and that is to be kind. We wish the family all the best.
