The Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks is taking public comment on a proposal to establish a public fishing access site at Lake Five, near Glacier National Park.
A different Lake Five site proposed a few years ago led to a lawsuit, and a court injunction against using that location.
A new environmental assessment lays out two options for fishing access at the lake, which is between Columbia Falls and West Glacier.
The 30-day period for public comment will end on Dec. 22. Public meetings in Hungry Horse are scheduled for Dec. 3 and Dec. 10.
