Flathead Marines Host Annual Birthday Ball
Event celebrates 237th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps and raises support for local veterans organizations
As a way to celebrate the 237th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps and raise support for local veterans organizations, the Flathead Marines organization is hosting the annual Birthday Ball this weekend.

The event is Saturday, Nov. 17 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kalispell. Tickets are $35 and should be purchased by Wednesday. Tickets are available at the VFW and both Twisted Bliss locations, at the Center Mall and in the Hutton Ranch Plaza.

The event will include a silent auction, dinner, live music and dancing as well as the traditional cake-cutting ceremony. Retired Col. Tom Sward from Bigfork is the guest speaker.

The event will feature a food drive for the local Veterans Food Pantry and Toys for Tots drive. It will also benefit Montana Wounded Warriors and Operation Finally Home.

Last year’s event drew roughly 220 people.
