Flathead Valley Roller Derby Skaters Earn All-Star Honors

Three skaters from Flathead Valley Roller Derby (FVRD) have been named to the 2012 Montana All-Star team and one was also named to the Northwest All-Star team.
Leah “Lady Viper” Michael, team captain of the FVRD Misfits, was voted Most Valuable Player for the state’s All-Stars and was also voted to the Northwest region team. Glenna “Glennacide” Berglund was named to the Montana All-Star bench. Tara “Tara Lady Up” Nelson was named to the All-Star reserves.
Voting for the teams is compiled from skaters, referees and fans via the Internet.
The FVRD Misfits are hosting the Gallatin Roller Girlz from Bozeman on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Flathead County Fairgrounds. Tickets are available at Wheaton’s in Kalispell and Montana Expresso in Whitefish.
