Former Carroll QB Emmert in NAIA Hall of Fame
Emmert was inducted into the hall Sunday
HELENA — Former Carroll College quarterback Tyler Emmert, who set career records while leading the Saints to four straight national championships, has been inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame.

Emmert was inducted into the hall Sunday during a banquet at the American Football Coaches Association Convention in Indianapolis.

Emmert, who is now the wide receivers coach at Carroll, holds the NAIA career record for total offense with 13,979 yards and was the first quarterback in the history of college football at any level to finish his career with a passing accuracy above 70 percent. He was 51-3 as a starter for the Saints.

He led Carroll to NAIA titles from 2002-2005, was a four-time NAIA All-American, a four-time NAIA scholar-athlete, a three-time national championship game MVP and two-time NAIA national player of the year.

Emmert is the fourth Carroll representative named to the hall. The others are former coach Raymond Hunthausen in 1966, former coach Bob Petrino in 1993 and former tight end Casey FitzSimmons in 2010.
