Four Northwestern A Girls Named All-State in Basketball

Four Northwestern A girls have been named to the Class A all-state basketball team: sophomore forward Kayla DeWit from Columbia Falls; senior guard Kate Klundt from Whitefish; senior forward Roxy Thurman from Bigfork and junior forward Jackie Mee from Libby. All four were also named to Northwestern A’s all-conference first team.

Klundt led the conference in scoring at 19.4 points per game and rebounding at 11 per contest. Mee was second in scoring at 19.2 and she also led the conference with 34 made-three-pointers. Thurman finished third in scoring at 14.1, first in steals at nearly four per game and tied for third in assists with almost three per contest. DeWit, a versatile 6-foot forward, was fourth in the conference in scoring at 14 and second in rebounds at 10.3.

The boys selections haven’t been announced yet. Here’s a look at Northwestern A’s girls all-conference selections. Congratulations to them all.
