Glacier Road: Glacier National Park Road Work Winding Down for Season

Construction is wrapping up for the winter on part of the major reconstruction of the Going to Sun Road in Glacier National Park.

Managers say they expect to be out of the alpine section of the road in a week or two.

Crews have been working on several sections, including a portion of the historic road that washed out from a flood in 2006.

Another phase of the rehabilitation project is slated to start in summer 2010.
