Flathead Valley Police Blotter
Hunter Hallucination
Flathead County Sheriff and Kalispell Police Reports
Sunday 10/21

8:36 a.m. Someone driving down U.S. Highway 93 North reported that a bearded man was walking down the “suicide lane” trying to hitch a ride.

9:11 a.m. A resident on Haskill Basin Road heard noises the night prior and assumed it was an animal. She woke up to find that a ladder had been moved and a screen to her window had been cut.

12:16 p.m. A Lakeside resident reported that a friendly but destructive and hungry pit bull has been at their house since yesterday.

1:08 p.m. A Columbia Falls man claimed that a dirty-mouthed hunter in camouflage was in his neighborhood aiming his bow at homes. The reporting party was arrested for outstanding warrants and later admitted that the bowhunter was probably a “hallucination.”

2:41 p.m. A man on Batavia Lane claimed that his neighbors were setting off “bombs” and shooting pistols into the air.

5:21 p.m. A man on Foothill Road threatened to burn down his landlord’s house.

7:27 p.m. Someone on Montana Highway 35 in Kalispell told a dispatcher that he needed a deputy “over here.” When he was asked “over where” he hung up. During a later conversation, he explained that his girlfriend was at his neighbor’s house and his neighbor was extremely agitated and didn’t want her there.

9:00 p.m. A woman on Beaver Creek Ranch called 911 after she saw someone with a flashlight about 60 yards away from her home. A deputy discovered that what she thought was a flashlight was headlights from a car driving down the road.

@NPDXReporter I think I'll start strategically calling it "pre-lunch" too, and then "forget" to eat my real lunch later. #dessertforlunch
