Homicide Suspect Arrested at Rock Creek Lodge

By Beacon Staff

MISSOULA – A Spokane, Wash., man has been arrested in Montana in connection with a gang-related homicide last September in Washington state.

Officials with the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI arrested 28-year-old Freddie J. Miller just after 3 p.m. Saturday at the Rock Creek Lodge east of Missoula on a fugitive warrant for deliberate homicide. He’s being held without bail at the Missoula County jail.

Washington state officials plan to arrange Miller’s extradition back to Spokane County to face the homicide charge.

Missoula County Sheriff’s Capt. Susan Hintz says Miller’s case was slated for trial in the early spring and he may have fled the jurisdiction, violating conditions of his release.

Miller is to be arraigned in Missoula Justice Court on Monday.
