HuHot for a Cause on April 11

By Beacon Staff

The HuHot Mongolian Grill in Kalispell will be donating 100 percent of its proceeds to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation on April 11. From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., every penny earned will go toward the foundation, with the hope of raising more than $8,000.

Every year, HuHot in Hutton Ranch raises money for diabetes, but this year director of operations Curtis Wagner wanted to do something big for the foundation. Wagner is partnering with Shana and Mike Hammer, whose little boy, Taite, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes five years ago. Currently, there is no cure.

April 11 is Taite’s birthday and during the day at HuHot there will be a raffle with more than $4,000 worth of prizes.

“We want everyone in the valley to know that by dining at HuHot that day, you are not supporting a restaurant, you are helping find a cure for a disease that is one of the most common and serious long-term diseases in children,” Wagner wrote.
