Hysterical History at the Bigfork Children’s Playhouse

By Beacon Staff

History and humor intersect in the Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theater performance of “Night at the Wax Museum,” starting on Jan. 18.

The story follows six unlucky students who have to retake a history class in summer school. Hoping to connect with the students better, first year teacher Heather Fairchild has arranged for the kids to help set up a wax museum as a class project. Through a strange series of events, some of the wax figures come alive, and the students learn more about these historical figures than they ever thought they would. King Henry VIII, Cleopatra, Anne Boleyn, Butch Cassidy, Calamity Jane, pirates all make an appearance.

Performances will be at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts on Jan. 18, 19, 25 and 26 at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a Sunday matinee on Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased Jan. 16 and 17 for $6. After that tickets are $11 for adults, $9 for seniors, $8 for students and $7 for children. For more information call (406) 837-4886 or visit www.bigforksummerplayhouse.com.
