Judge Won’t Dismiss Rape Charges Against Former Griz Quarterback
Missoula judge denied two defense motions seeking to dismiss a rape charges against Jordan Johnson
MISSOULA — A Missoula judge has denied two defense motions seeking to dismiss a rape charge filed against former University of Montana quarterback Jordan Johnson.

One motion filed early last month accused the Missoula County attorney's office of "cherry-picking" facts in charging Johnson and another asked that the charges be dismissed if the state didn't immediately turn over pages of texts and information on the woman's medical, educational and counseling records dating back to the age of 5.

The Missoulian reports District Judge Karen Townsend denied the motions in rulings last week.

Townsend wrote that a trial is the proper venue for challenging the state's evidence. She also said the state was in the process of providing the requested documents and some of the information may not be subject to discovery.

Some how the facts are begining to smell like dead fish. The defense attorney wanting for more discovery material is unusual & the words “cherry picking” are odd too. It takes 2 to tango and who says who is to blame?? Rape is not…
