MISSOULA — State game wardens have charged two juveniles in the poaching of a pregnant cow moose northeast of Avon last month.
Fish, Wildlife and Parks game warden Joe Kambic found the moose dead near Carpenter and Ophir Creeks on Feb. 19. The moose had been shot several times with small caliber gunshot and left to waste.
Details on how the juveniles were connected to the shooting and their ages have not been released.
