A Kalispell man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and accused of marking a vehicle at the Kalispell Center Mall with a “graffiti sticker” and resisting arrest.
Gus Hill, 22, was spotted by a Kalispell police officer at about 4:30 p.m. placing a graffiti sticker on a car. When the officer attempted to confront Hill, he ran off and a foot chase ensued. During the short pursuit, a private citizen tackled Hill to the ground, holding him down until the officer arrived. Upon Hill’s arrest, police found in his possession multiple cans of spray paint and stickers with the word “lemons” on them, which have recently been spotted around town, according to a press release.
Hill was arrested for resisting arrest and obstructing justice. An investigation is underway to determine if Hill is behind any other recent graffiti in the Kalispell area. He remains in the Flathead County’s jail.
