Kalispell Man Arrested, Boy Found Sitting in Road
Russell Flanigan faces drug and neglect charges
Flathead County officials say a 21-year-old Kalispell man was arrested after a 2-year-old boy in his care was found sitting in the middle of the road, barefoot and crying.

A woman told the sheriff's office she found the boy Tuesday afternoon. He was not wearing a coat and it was 13 degrees outside.

Deputies followed footprints in the snow to a house.

Sheriff Chuck Curry says that deputies found a 10-month-old girl inside and Russell Flanigan asleep. When they awakened Flanagan he was disoriented and confused.

Officers found several marijuana plants in the garage.

Flanigan, who does not have a medical marijuana card, faces charges of criminal manufacture of dangerous drugs and misdemeanor negligent endangerment.

The children were taken into the custody of family services.
