Kalispell Police Seek Suspect in Sexual Assaults

By Beacon Staff

The Kalispell Police Department is searching for a suspect in a series of sexual assaults against high school students.

According to a statement from KPD, the assaults took place on May 16, May 23 and May 24, and the victims targeted have been female high school students. The same victim was assaulted May 23 and 24, police say.

The incidents occurred between South Main Street and Flathead High School. Police believe the same suspect is perpetrating the assaults due to the descriptions and locations given by victims.

They reported that the male suspect physically assaulted them and threatened to do them more harm. Police say the victims were able to escape each encounter without physical injury and there is no report that a weapon was used.

The suspect is described as an 18 to 24-year-old male, between 6 feet and 6 feet and two inches tall with a tall, thin build. He reportedly has short, almost shaved hair, and facial hair under his chin and his neck. He was last seen wearing a gray, zippered hoodie sweatshirt and blue plaid-type shorts and tennis shoes.

Anyone with information on these series of assaults is asked to call School Resource Officer Cory Clarke at 751-3476.

Anyone who sees a person fitting this description is asked not to approach the individual; contact the police department at 758-7780 for assistance or call 911 if a crime is being committed.
