Kalispell Woman Sentenced for Injuring Baby
Kimberly Butler was sentenced Wednesday in District Court
A Kalispell woman who pleaded guilty to dropping and shaking a 7-month-old baby she was caring for has been sentenced to 10 years with the Department of Corrections with eight suspended.

KCFW-TV reports Kimberly Butler was sentenced Wednesday in District Court in Kalispell.

Butler pleaded guilty in August to felony criminal endangerment for injuries to the child she was babysitting in June 2011. Butler said she dropped the baby and when she began to scream and cry, she shook her.

Doctors say the girl suffered a fractured skull, but the full extent of her injuries won't be known until she's older.

@djtabish You may have $10, but I have the fleeting hope that I'll be a millionaire without having to do any work for it. #lazy
