MISSOULA – Authorities are investigating after a 31-year-old Ronan man crashed his boat into a Flathead Lake dock.
Polson police responded to the crash shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday. Witnesses reported hearing a loud crash and finding the 18- or 19-foot motorboat upside-down on the Polson city dock on the lake’s southern shore.
The man, whose name wasn’t released, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Polson, where he was treated for minor injuries.
John Fraley, a spokesman for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, said his department was investigating the crash along with Lake County and Polson city authorities.
