Expanded Manufacturing Site Announced for Evergreen

By Beacon Staff

Accurate Casework Industries, a global supplier of office and corporate workplace furnishings, announced its plans to expand a manufacturing facility in Evergreen, according to Montana West Economic Development on July 8.

ACI intends to establish an expanded facility and employ an additional 21 staff members over a 24-month period, according to MWED.

ACI is a custom manufacturer of cabinetry and case goods. The company was originally part of Montana-based Eagle Group Northwest. In 2009, the manufacturing component was separated and began transforming into a supplier of products to a wider geographical zone.

ACI will manufacture “System 70” office system furnishings, which are currently sold globally, in Montana for distribution across the Western U.S. and into Canada, according to MWED.

To establish a facility in the Flathead Valley, company administrators worked closely with Montana West Economic Development in collaboration with the Job Service, Montana Manufacturers Extension Center, Small Business Development Center the Procurement and Technical Assistance Center and Flathead Valley Community College starting in November 2012.

Flathead County Economic Development Authority was recently awarded $62,580 on behalf of ACI from the Montana Department of Commerce’s Big Sky Trust Fund. The Big Sky Trust funds will be used to purchase equipment and be matched by company funds to train employees and other expansion investments.
