Missing 18-year-old Found in Kalispell
Levi Schneider was declared a missing person on July 15
An 18-year-old from Kalispell who was considered a missing person for about a week was found as of July 22.

According to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry, law enforcement has received word that Levi Schneider is somewhere in Kalispell, and his family is content that he has been found.

“We’re still trying to physically see him, but he’s alive and well,” Curry said.

Schneider went missing from his grandparents’ house in Marion on July 7, according to his father Ray Schneider, but he was not officially declared as a missing person until July 15. The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and search and rescue crews canvassed the area where he was last seen, using manpower, helicopters and dogs in the search.

Ray Schneider came over from Great Falls to search for his son, plastering hundreds of signs seeking information about Schneider. The family searched for Schneider but came up empty for about three weeks. Law enforcement had trouble finding Schneider as well after he was declared a missing person.

Apparently Schneider had been bouncing around between friends’ houses, Curry said, and wasn’t contacting his family.

Schneider’s father said in an interview with the Beacon that he would not leave Kalispell until he knew where his son was, and Curry said Ray Schneider has gone back to Great Falls.

As far as Curry was concerned on July 22, the case was closed.
