Thursday 1/16/2013

9:56 a.m. Someone called from Coram to report that a presumably intoxicated driver passed him and nearly hit an oncoming semi.

11:05 a.m. A Martin City man reported that three stray dogs regularly harass his dogs.

11:49 a.m. An abandoned Buick, or something like a Buick, was found parked on Saint Andrews Drive in Columbia Falls. Apparently, it had a flat tire, the ignition was “chiseled” out, and a knife was found stuck in the back of one of the seats.

1:19 p.m. A resident on Silver Leaf Drive came home to find that someone had cut a perfectly round hole through one of his windows. He didn’t think anyone had actually broken into his home.

1:30 p.m. A Kalispell man came home to find all but one of his goats missing. He suspects that the neighbors gave them away. An animal warden thought more likely that they escaped while he was away and ran off.

3:22 p.m. Someone thought it looked as though a vehicle had driven through a fence off Highway 35 and into a field.

3:46 p.m. A Bison Drive resident’s tires were slashed.

3:56 p.m. A woman on Flathead Drive believes she is being scammed.

5:39 p.m. Reportedly, someone with a pellet gun was chasing a black Lab down Phanco Lane. The dog was picked up and taken to the animal shelter.

7:55 p.m. A man on Highway 35 in Kalispell reported that his girlfriend tried to steal from him. She denied the accusation.

8:47 p.m. A woman on North Springwood Drive reported that someone came into her home and took a diamond. She has a suspect in mind.

9:22 p.m. An employee of a Columbia Falls gas station reported that a bald man stole a pack of beer.

9:51 p.m. An angry drunk was found sleeping under his back porch. He was helped into his home.
