Monday Buffet: Flathead Industries, Kila School Bond, Ex-Gov Reflects
A Daily Taste of Top Stories
Good morning; on the Beacon today, Flathead Industries has launched a line of medical equipment that caters to a wide variety of needs. Kila School District is asking voters to approve a $2.1 million bond for an 11,423-square-foot expansion and remodel project. A group of investors announced plans last week to remodel a former nightclub in downtown Whitefish. And in the four years since she left the highest office in Montana, former Gov. Judy Martz has routinely addressed Christian organizations throughout the country.

In other news around the state, Montana's public pension funds' assets are growing, but haven't fully recovered from their plunge last year. Support for open space in Missoula is surviving despite economic downturn. And a 300-pound grizzly bear that was chased by border collies took refuge in the basement of an unfinished apartment near Choteau.

Here's hoping everyone enjoyed the nice weather this weekend; and are finding remedies today to nurse the sunburns. Happy Monday!
