Montana Leaders ‘Disappointed’ in Malmstrom Charges
Say cheating allegations raise serious questions that must be addressed
HELENA – The members of Montana's congressional delegation say allegations that 34 Malmstrom Air Force Base officers cheated on proficiency tests are disappointing.

Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Tester said Wednesday the cheating allegations raise serious questions that must be addressed. Republican Rep. Steve Daines says he is deeply concerned but is certain the Air Force will investigate and take corrective action.

Democratic Sen. Max Baucus called the news "disappointing."

All three expressed their confidence in Malmstom's mission.

The Air Force disclosed Wednesday that a launch officer sent text messages to 16 others with answers to the test, while 17 officers knew about it.

The revelations come on the heels of an investigation into drug possession by 11 officers at Air Force bases, including two suspected of participating in the Malmstrom cheating ring.

I finished 100 Years of Solitude in my empty high school art room, and the top of my head came off, just like Emily Dickinson said.
