Mule Deer Foundation Plans Fundraising Banquet at Kalispell Hilton

The Northern Rockies chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation is holding its second annual banquet and auction at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kalispell on Saturday, March 23.
The Mule Deer Foundation is celebrating its 25th year and touts itself as a nonprofit wildlife habitat conservation organization dedicated to ensuring the future of mule deer and their habitat. With 20,000 active members and more than 125 chapters nationwide, MDF has conserved thousands of acres of habitat since its inception in 1988, according to a statement from the organization.
Local chapters conduct annual banquets that feature a social hour and dinner followed by a lively benefit auction. The chapters are developed solely by local volunteers in communities who are concerned about the future of mule deer.
The foundation has funded critical wildlife and habitat conservation projects for the last 10 years in Montana. Examples include management-related research, habitat acquisitions, conservation easements, habitat improvement projects and youth education programs. The Mule Deer Foundation also publishes a bi-monthly magazine, Mule Deer, and a monthly member online newsletter.
Chapter chairman, Chuck Dziuk, announced that the social hour would begin at 5 pm., where attendees can participate in a silent auction and raffles including our 50 hat raffle for a Kimber handgun! Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by a fundraising auction which will feature a hunt in Africa, a one in five chance at a mystery gun, limited-edition wildlife prints, beautiful bronzes and other quality items. Proceeds from the evening will benefit MDF habitat conservation projects.
