Nursing Home Theft

10:08 a.m. A Columbia Falls woman reported that a woman was outside harassing her chickens. The dog was picked up and taken home.

10:43 a.m. A Many Lakes Drive resident reported that a dog described as half pit bull and half “something else big” was in his driveway again, but this time it brought with it another, smaller canine companion. The two dogs were returned to their owner.

10:46 a.m. A Browns Meadow Road resident found a “new bullet” in the wall of her garage.

12:39 p.m. An employee of a Columbia Falls store reported that a drunken man was napping on the floor. Shortly after the call, his wife showed up and peeled him off the floor, shoved him in her car, and drove him home.

2:03 p.m. Someone attempted, but failed, to steal a TV from a Kalispell nursing home.

4:21 p.m. A Kalispell woman reported that her boyfriend’s gun was missing from her purse.

6:22 p.m. A dog on Steels Way in Columbia Falls escaped again and managed to somehow subdue and kill six of the neighbor’s chickens. The little dog narrowly escaped the chicken owner’s gun fire. It was taken to the county animal shelter.

7:15 p.m. A man called from California to report that his sister, who now lives locally, stole his vehicle while in California and is now attempting to sell it.

8:10 p.m. One large black cow was seen standing in the middle of Stillwater Road.

9:35 p.m. A Kalispell woman reported that her ex-roommate stole money from her bank account.

11:44 p.m. An employee of a Kalispell grocery store reported that the man he asked to leave for smoking a cigarette in the store was, at the time of the call, just outside the store falling asleep. His friend showed up and gave him a ride.
