For the first time in its history, the county’s parks and recreation department is undertaking a 20-year master plan. In addition to a series of public meetings to take comment on the plan, the parks department also conducted the online survey.
According to the results, area residents who took the survey said linear parks, trail corridors, or pathways were the most needed type of parks in the county and supported county-wide tax measures or park maintenance districts to financially support park lands.
