HELENA – The state Board of Pardons and Parole has set a May 28 parole revocation hearing for a man who fled the state while on parole for a 1951 murder.
Department of Corrections spokesman Bob Anez says the hearing for 78-year-old Frank Dryman will be held on the grounds of the Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge.
Dryman was arrested March 23 in Arizona City, Ariz., where he was living under the name Victor H. Houston, running a wedding chapel and working as a notary public.
He was convicted of killing Clarence Pellett, who had picked up Dryman as a 19-year-old drifter caught in the snow outside Shelby. Dryman was paroled in 1969 after serving 15 years in prison and three years later, he disappeared.
The grandson of the victim tracked Dryman down.
