Police Blotter: Burning Eye, Forgetful Stoner

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Wednesday included the following:

8:16 a.m. Seventy or so dogs were barking on Haywire Gulch.

8:46 a.m. A computer was stolen from a Kalispell business that sells trucks.

11:08 a.m. A man in Kalispell called in because someone was shooting BBs at his house.

1:11 p.m. When a Kalispell man was winterizing his dump truck the engine caught on fire.

1:21 p.m. A worried neighbor called the Sheriff’s Department because an 11-year-old was beating up his mom. The boy was counseled.

1:39 p.m. A man came into town and told a friend he wanted to kill his ex-wife.

3:11 p.m. A mom spanked a 9-year-old boy after he threw rocks through a window. After the spanking he flipped out. The worried parents called the Sheriff’s Department.

4:28 p.m. Someone in Lakeside called in to report that their 3-year-old was missing from the backyard. The child was found in the backyard six minutes later.

5:40 p.m. A man who was brought into the detention center by his parole office neglected to discard the marijuana he had in his pocket. He was consequently cited for possession.

6:03 p.m. The dogs out on Haywire Gulch were barking again.

9:50 p.m. Someone called in about a suspicious logging truck with its engine running on the side of the North Fork Road. Deputies checked it out and claimed that it was not running or suspicious.

11:33 p.m. A man arrived at the Columbia Falls fire station in need of assistance because he had salsa in his eye.

The departments responded to 165 calls for service.
