Police Blotter: Drowning Death and Highway Fatality

7:00 a.m. It looked like someone shot a hole in the door of a dog day camp.

11:49 a.m. There was a dog chasing horses on Eckleberry Drive.

12:56 p.m. A 47-year-old man drowned in Woods Bay.

1:11 p.m. There were two little dogs near the airport tower.

1:42 p.m. A woman left her young daughter in her car while she went into an Evergreen store.

4:14 p.m. A tech provider said someone had tapped into the line and was stealing services.

7:21 p.m. A man on McMannamy Draw said his girlfriend hit him and cut his tires with a steak knife.

8:23 p.m. A 20-year-old man was thrown out of a Hungry Horse bar and then to jail.

11:45 p.m. After a 23-year-old man finished arguing with his dad he ran down the driveway. His friends were there.

4:14 a.m. A 78-year-old Michigan man was struck and killed by a westbound truck on Montana Highway 2. Authorities believe the man ran out of gas and was attempting to flag down two loggers headed to work. The driver, though, did not have enough time to avoid hitting the man. Investigators tried to start the man’s car, but it was out of gas. There was also a map in the car that had a various destinations highlighted.

The departments responded to 139 calls for service.
