Police Blotter: Drunk Drinks Dish Soap

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Sunday included the following:

12:59 a.m. Someone heard three gunshots out at Lybeck’s Dyke. Deputies were unable to locate the shooter.

4:24 a.m. A young woman who had been drinking loads of alcohol at a party needed medical assistance after she swallowed a bunch of dish soap.

6:24 a.m. Someone in Somers called in to report that their car had been stolen. They called back shortly after to say that it actually hadn’t been stolen, but the tires were just flat.

11:54 a.m. A criminal vandalized an empty storage unit in Hungry Horse.

1:26 p.m. A woman needed to go to the hospital after she fell in the parking lot at Woodland Park.

2:28 p.m. Someone in Coram called in to say that they had seen a suspicious brown box on the walkway near the bridge. Deputies investigating were unable to find the weird box.

2:50 p.m. A man called in to say that he had video of another man spinning cookies on a four-wheeler at the baseball field in Martin City.

3:02 p.m. A man called in because he was mad that his wife had invited unwanted people into their home while he was gone.

3:22 p.m. A man was seen driving as fast as he could up and down cougar trail in his yellow snowmobile. Deputies asked him to put the thing away for the night. He did.

4:39 p.m. A dumpster in the Columbia Falls dump was on fire.

7:45 p.m. A Parliament Drive resident’s home and car was shot with paintballs.

8:11 p.m. A man was arrested in Kalispell after slapping the phone away from his girlfriend while she was talking to someone at the Sheriff’s Department. Then he slapped her in the face and ran away. Deputies stopped him on his way out.

9:32 p.m. A man called in to say that “Dave” pushed him down and then drove away.

10:39 p.m. Paintballs were shot at the Burger King in Evergreen.

The departments responded to 111 calls for service.
