Police Blotter: Dumpster Diving Dispute and Stolen Ride

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Monday included the following:

8:47 a.m. Someone tried break into the middle school in Somers through a classroom window.

9:29 a.m. Someone called in from Lower Lost Prairie Road to report that their neighbor’s dog looked unhealthy. The animal warden went out and said it looked just fine.

11:06 a.m. A man called in after repossessing a vehicle, because while cleaning it out he found needles and other possible drug paraphernalia.

12:38 p.m. A dumpster diver at the Columbia Falls dump stirred up a heap of trouble when he jumped into a dumpster that was already occupied by another diver. An argument broke out and deputies arrived to calm the men’s nerves.

3:36 p.m. A young boy was hit by a vehicle in Kalispell and taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

5:26 p.m. A man called in from a Lakeside bar to report that his car was stolen minutes after he was involved in an accident.

12:44 a.m. Someone from a trailer park in Kalispell called in to report that a driver in bright yellow truck was driving through the area honking the truck horn.

The departments responded to 159 calls for service.
