Police Blotter: ‘Illegal’ Pellet Guns and Toddler Neglected

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Sunday included the following:

12:11 p.m. An animal warden trap fooled a gullible cat.

12:41 p.m. A resident on El Rancho Road called in because there was a clan of hobos camping on their property. Upon request, they picked up their tents and moved on.

2:43 p.m. A dog jumped out in front of a bicyclist on Tamarack Lane and caused him to wreck and hit his head. ALERT responded, but a private vehicle took him to the hospital.

5:28 p.m. A Kalispell resident and their neighbor got into a fight over a visit from an animal warden.

5:37 p.m. Someone from Columbia Falls called in because their neighbors were shooting “illegal” pellet guns.

6:12 p.m. A man called in from Browns Meadow Road about a bullet that whizzed right by his head and hit a tree.

6:25 p.m. Someone found a 2-year-old girl alone at Woodland Park. The little girl pointed across the street to where she lived and the worried person accompanied her home. At the residence there was a man sleeping on the porch and more intoxicated people inside.

6:55 p.m. A 15-year-old boy freaked out and locked himself in his bedroom. His parents couldn’t control him so they called the Sheriff’s Department. They were counseled.

10:18 p.m. A 16-year-old girl was arrested after she attacked her dad.
