Police Blotter: Placing Bets and Sending Threatening Letters

8:21 a.m. Two adult women engaged in a little road rage near an elementary school in Evergreen.

9:36 a.m. Someone on Fourth Avenue West in Columbia Falls had a problem with a cat.

9:49 a.m. The Bigfork Quick Response Unit was called out to Coyote Meadow Lane. It isn’t certain as to what happened. The occurrence is still under investigation.

10:58 a.m. A woman, who was reported missing, is likely on a gambling binge. She has an extensive history of disappearing and later showing up once all her money is gone.

11:08 a.m. A man said a shotgun he packed with him on a plane to Memphis never made it back.

12:55 p.m. Rocks were thrown from a lawn mower, damaging a trailer home.

2:58 p.m. A man’s new girlfriend is sending threatening letters to the man’s ex-wife.

3:10 p.m. A woman said a man called her a foul name. He says she cut him off. She says he was speeding.

3:12 p.m. Two minutes later the man with the foul mouth called in to report that he hadn’t done anything wrong.

7:28 p.m. Two lovers were fighting over money. They didn’t have any.

The departments responded to 145 calls for service.
