Police Blotter:  Nail Accident and Under the Influence

8:29 a.m. Someone called in to report that their trailer home had been dented on July 7th.

8:33 p.m. A woman who fell asleep while reading a book thought she heard heavy breathing.

9:53 a.m. Someone with an acute sense of smell caught a waft of an electrical fire.

1:57 p.m. A sign at a school on Fairmount Road was vandalized.

3:09 p.m. A 35-year old man was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center after he shot a nail through his arm.

5:59 p.m. A woman called in to report that her car had been stolen. It turned out that her husband had drove the vehicle to work.

6:01 p.m. A laptop and a GPS device were stolen from a residence on Conrad Drive.

7:06 p.m. A 15-year old boy who fled on foot after he pushed his mother was caught and taken to the juvenile detention center.

7:09 p.m. Someone called in to report that they thought the occupants of a green hatch-back were drinking and driving near Woodland Park. The suspicion was confirmed when the caller witnessed the occupants chugging the rest of a bottle of vodka, which they then threw from the moving vehicle.

The departments responded to 189 calls for service.
