Police Blotter: Stolen Hearing Aid, Evergreen Air Raid

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Thursday included the following:

9:06 a.m. An intruder broke the window out of a wrecking business and stole a fancy muffler.

11:36 a.m. A woman called in from an assisted living home in Bigfork to report that someone had stolen her Dad’s hearing aid.

1:14 p.m. A group of men driving in a black SUV hit a deer and blew out a hose. They parked in a nearby driveway. The people who lived there thought it was weird and called the Sheriff’s Department.

1:50 p.m. An intruder alarm went off in Whitefish.

2:12 p.m. A woman called in because her mother-in-law was threatening to take her kids.

2:49 p.m. There were dogs at large in Happy Valley.

5:34 p.m. A chimney was on fire in Columbia Falls. It was put out in a timely fashion.

6:33 p.m. The dogs on Haywire Gulch were making a thunderous racket.

7:00 p.m. Someone ran over a moose on U.S. Highway 2.

8:49 p.m. A man and a woman got into a disagreement over their financial woes.

9:00 p.m. Three children got into fist fight in the school parking lot.

10:41 p.m. A man and his wife got into an argument. Deputies helped them settle their issues and they went back to bed.

12:04 a.m. A woman gave her husband a fat lip. He left for the night and does not want to press any charges.

12:15 a.m. A woman called in from a campground in Evergreen to complain that her husband hit her. He claims he just turned over in his sleep and accidentally thumped her. He left her for the night.

1;10 a.m. The sirens at the fire department in Evergreen went off. The department was having some technical difficulties.

1:12 a.m. Someone in Evergreen called in to say they could hear an air raid. It was not an air raid, but the sirens at the fire department.

The departments responded to 134 calls for service.
