Police Blotter: Bearded Cross-Dresser and Pawned Playstation

7:15 a.m. Kids on 4-wheelers tore up the grass near Fairmont Egan School. A parent of one of the miscreants was notified and said they would handle the problem.

9:14 a.m. A young man who called in to report that his parents had pawned his Playstation was taken to jail on a contempt warrant. His friend was taken to jail on the same charge.

10:22 a.m. A woman called in to report that she thinks someone entered her house and changed the clock by an hour. There was no indication of forced entry.

1:06 p.m. The owner of a trailer that was blocking a narrow driveway in Lakeside reportedly assaulted the contractors who moved it out of their way. The contractors took it to their shop.

1:59 p.m. Someone called in when they saw a young man shooting near Rails to Trails. It turned out the male had permission to be on the property. He was shooting gophers.

2:09 p.m. Someone called in to report that they saw a “white guy” strip, either to his swimming trunks or underwear, near the river in Columbia Falls.

3:45 p.m. Canadians left a mess at Spruce Park campground.

5:16 p.m. A mentally unstable man called in to ask authorities if he was a suspect in any investigation.

7:27 p.m. A 2-year-old boy was bitten by a dog on the arm at the Columbia Falls farmer’s market. The boy did not need medical attention and the owner of the pooch was cooperative.

8:02 p.m. An unidentified 31-year-old was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center and treated for a gunshot wound to the hand.

2:27 a.m. Officers in Columbia Falls interviewed a bearded man wearing high heels and a red dress. The man told deputies he was just out for an evening stroll. It was actually morning.

The departments responded to 189 calls for service.
